Menagerie of Exotic Creatures: The Cats

"He's just a widdle kitty cat"

The circus cat – lions, tigers, and panthers are some of the famous cats featured in Water For Elephants. They have been a staple in circus culture for their dangerous appearance and risky performances

yeeaaaah...i dont THINK so.

What happens when Jacob takes a walk on the wild side, aka feeding the cats…

Tah-dah!

Jacob meets the glorious tiger…

The tiger rises, six hundred glorious pounds of black, orange, and white. His head is huge, his whiskers long. He comes to the door, swings around, and walks away. When he returns, he growls and swipes at the latch. The padlock rattles against the bars.

Yikes.

Jacob meets Rex….the lion who’s a bit hungry…

When the cat sees me coming, he lunges at the door. I freeze. “What’s the matter, Jacob?” I turn around. August’s face is glowing. “You’re not afraid of Rex, are you?” he continues. “He’s just a widdle kitty cat.” Rex pauses to rub his mangy coat against the bars at the front of the cage.

With fumbling fingers, I remove the padlock and lay it by my feet. Then I lift the bucket and wait. The next time Rex turns away from the door, I swing it open…

Slightly off topic…but only slightly. Not all cats are savage beasts, ready to terrify the trembling circus crowds.

They’re just misunderstood :)┬áMeet Christian. Try not to cry. This “little” lion will melt a cold heart.

Sigh…see? Misunderstood.

I want to get a good exotic sort animal, not really a reptile or whatever but more along the lines of your monkey or one thing cuddley which is not natrually mean. When I arrived across this web site, it created me want that incredible animal much more and I’ve arrived on the conclusion that I am not having any far more dogs or cats so I can make room for it.
