~New Set Pics~ First Look Jacob & Marlena Kiss

Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon photographed while filming a scene for ‘Water for Elephants’ in Los Angeles yesterday.

Update: A note from the photographer who took all 35 HOT pics!

It was an auspicious night of filming in the seedy back alley of downtown Los Angeles. Rob treated Reese with the flirtatious chivalry of a young Gentleman and even younger suitor.

He stomped His feet and did an impromptu tap dance to keep the Cat sized Rat’s at Bay. He joke with Reese about Her dress showing some side boob. They snacked and drank hot drinks together to stay warm in the chilly wee hours of the night.

    Ungh! I’m so jealous of her! He’s sooo freakin sexy!! Rob doesn’t get enough credit for his performance in Eclipse it’s the other other Jacob for being shirtless…which is so unfair because I thought he was awesome…Robs Jacob in WFE looks fantastic and I can’t wait to see him in this role…ILY Rob =)

      glad you said it and not me… I also thought she looked a little ‘older’ in some of those pics, too. I am hoping it looks different on film… otherwise she is going to look too old for him.

      Reese may look a bit older but I think Marlena is supposed to look a little older. She’s been married to August for years and has had a harder life than Jacob. Jacob was just a student and inexperienced. I think they will look just right together. I do love this man!

    Just for age references in regards to Jacob/Marlena/August:
    Chapt. 2 p. 27 – I (Jacob) am 23 years old
    Chapt. 8 p. 91 – He (August) regales me with the tale of how he wooed Marlena. Of how he recognized her powerful way with horses the very moment she entered his menagerie tent three years before—
    Chap. 16 p. 192- She tells me about meeting August- she was seventeen (they married very soon afterward)
    Chap. 16 p. 192- He (August) was twelve years her senior..

    So if Marlena met & married August when she was 17/18 and August was 29/30, that would make them at the time of Jacob’s story: Marlena 20/21, August 32/33 and Jacob 23/24. So Marlena is younger than Jacob.

    Chapter 11 p. 139 – they DO actually kiss after the raid at the speakeasy. Then she runs off.

      Thanks for the clarification. I think they do kiss also in the book….and looks like its going to happen in these pixs. I’m going to have to go back and read the script. But these pixs are amazing. Plus HOW are these papz. getting into these filming areas??? Can’t wait to see this movie!

      Thanks for the details. I still think Marlena could look older than her years because she has had a harder life than Jacob. I got the feeling she was abused by August (emotionally if not physically) for 4 years and Jacob was coddled by his parents – probably making him seem a little younger than his years. Maybe I’m just trying to justify the age difference in Rob and Reese! I do love them both and want them to look right together!

    Love these photos. Wow though. Some people on Twitter are reading way too much into this post. Accusing you of shipping Rob & Reese. The headline does say Jacob & Marlena. People need to get over themselves & stop being so sensitive over every little thing.

    I’m a total Team Edward TwiHard, but I see much more in Rob than just Edward. He is so self-deprecating in his interviews that he almost gives the impression that he doesn’t take the role of Edward seriously, but I think he does, he was the best part of Eclipse and I will be forever grateful to Rob for bringing Edward to “life” so perfectly. What I think is that WFE is going to establish Rob as the extraordinary actor he is apart from his role as Edward. I’ve said on many other TwiFan sites that when WFE comes out, they are going to be blown away by this film and his performance as (ironically) Jacob. I’m looking forward to the release of WFE more than Breaking Dawn.
