So Long Big Top – ‘Water for Elephants’ One Step Closer to Wrapping

Director Francis Lawrence announced via his Twitter today that the ‘Water for Elephants’ Big Top had been dropped as they wrapped the circus set in Piru, CA.

“Done shooting in the big top. Getting ready to collapse the benzini tents!”

“Not a wrap yet… Just for this location. But still a bit sad.”

“Just picture wrapped Donna Scott (Barbara).”

“Okay… Collapsing our tents was probably one of the coolest things we’ve done.”

Bye Bye Big Top

So long, Big Top. Can’t wait to see you on the silver screen!

Does anyone know where they’ll be filming next??? Can’t wait for this movie! Do we know the date it will be released yet???

Thanks so much for bringing us wonderful pics and info about the making of WFE and about Rob specifically. We fans have loved it. I hope we’re so lucky when they begin filming Breaking Dawn this fall.

  5. As I said to you on twitter, I will miss your set updates. This has been a fantastic ride. I follow all of your blogs and just want to take the time to tell you again how much your dedication to Rob, and us, is appreciated. I hope we have many more years of blogging/tweeting about Rob together.

This is going to be a very special movie for Rob’s long-term career.

P.S.: Jen, have you made that call yet? We need more Rob music!! XO

I will miss your blogging as well as I have followed you through Bel Ami and now Water For Elephants…. It has been quite an experience and will truly miss all the pictures and updates and especially your news about Robert. I know that this movie will be his greatest yet and will open doors for him in ways he probably couldn’t imagine. I also can see “someone” getting an oscar, hopefully next year, for this movie as well. Jen if you continue to blog from the Breaking Dawn sites, if that is a possibility for you, please don’t forget about all of your world wide followers and Robert obsessers. Thank you once again you have been a real sweetheart.

Oh, this is so sad! Thank you for all the pictures and updates on Rob. I check this site first thing every morning to know where he is and what he’s up to! I’m such a fan and think he has a brilliant future. Thanks again!!

I have been a constant “lurker” never commenting but you guys have done a fabulous job. Thanks for always keeping up posted with the latest from the WFE location. This movie must have had an impact on Rob if he described being on set as a “perfect” day. He must have really placed himself back in the 1930’s to appreciate the setting and the time. Will miss the updates but look forward to reading more from new and upcoming filming sites.

Me too, Ana! Wonderful job on all BA and W4E sites. Can’t wait for announcement of Rob’s next project after BD BUT I do hope he has a bit of a rest (preferably out of LA after latest papp run-in!). We need the on site W4E fans to help him out and chase them away. Fantastic updates without being intrusive of Rob….much as we love him. Thank you.

I can’t wait to see Rob run around wearing the clown make-up. :)

Oh, I cannot imagine my life without you, wonderful setsoldiers, keeping me posted about what was going on the set of WFE. I got used to read your comments every morning and was checking my mail just to droll over your stories and photos. I will miss you soo much. Thanks for those wonderful mornings…and who knows, maybe you will do the same when Unboud Captives starts. The best for you girls. Alexandria

I’m sure it’s a bit sad for the cast and crew. On the other hand, it’s one step closer for us to see the finished product on the “big screen.”

As the weather is becoming more “summeresque” I am sure they will all be happy to head to cooler placers to film…
