Photo: UCLA Stands In for Cornell in ‘Water for Elephants’

Twitter was abuzz earlier today when UCLA students and faculty noticed Robert Pattinson and cast on the college campus scene set of Water for Elephants.

In the book, Jacob Jankowski is a veterinarian program graduate from Cornell University. UCLA was the obvious choice to “stand in” for Cornell, that way the film wouldn’t have to endure the expense of filming it locally in Ithaca, NY.

A look at “Cornell” from today’s set thanks to @bleezy_baby.

UCLA is Cornell in 'Water for Elephants'

Thanks RobLovePatts for the heads up!

*le sigh* that is my school (so what if it was 6 years ago!!!) I used to get coffee up in that bldg. One of my favorite things is seeing how many movies/commercials I recognize UCLA in.

What?? This is so disappointing! UCLA looks nothing like Cornell… I would know, because I go to Cornell :P

  7. Another CU Student says:

You can tell it’s not Cornell from the lack of sun, snow, hail, and rain all at the same time.
