RED CARPET: Water for Elephants premiere in Sydney, Australia

Water for Elephants promo is coming to a close. This is our last hurrah at the circus. *tear*

Less than 30 minutes away from the final red carpet with Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon and Francis Lawrence. They’ve already taken care of the press conference so onward to the WFE premiere in Sydney!

Australia also got Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon, and Elephants to trend on “dorky” twitter. ;)

That’s a wrap on the red carpet! RECAP of interviews and HQ pics later in the day :) Click HERE to see the HQs already popping up. Thanks to all the sources and readers. It’s been amazing ;)

Just wanted to say “thank you” to you girls for all your hardwork in running such a wonderful website and keeping us all informed about all things WFE. You are the best!

I agree…thanks to everyone who has contributed for our pleasure! It has been awesome to be able to follow this movie from day one. I now appreciate the opportunity to be able to comment on my disappointing experience at the Australian Premiere.

  5. Kara says:

I think it’s appalling the people who paid $120 a ticket to be at the premiere were not allowed anywhere near the stars of the film (or allowed to take photos) and the people who sat outside were given unlimited access to them. Most of the people who paid money for the tickets had kids who were anxious to meet both Robert & Reese.
I hope the money these people paid to see the film was donated to charity and not used to line the greedy pockets of the studios or the celebrities.

thank -you it was so sad ! i Love him and saw the back of his head and side of his face once in theatre for $120 not to mention the cost of that special dress one has to have to walk the red carpet ! the make-up i know alot of girls got professional make up and hair ,new shoes travelle cost to syney accomod ect ect ! The organisers -FAMOUS need to get it right !

I and 100’s of others, had exactly the same experience as you…it was devestating! What was the point of Black Tie? What a joke! How ironic is it that FAMOUS sponsored the event? Do his people even know that they are the trashy magazine that print all the rubbish about him? I say we got nothing…but we did… we got a bottle of water, 3 chocolates and a copy of the magazine! I did myself a big favour and watched it again in Melbourne at a decent cinema for 10% of the price on a much bigger unobscured screen!

Hi ,i am a major Rob fan and spent alot of money and time to get the “best opportunity to meet Rob ” that i thought possible ! However as someone posted above we who got the ticket to walk the red carpet actually felt rushed and had less chance to see him up close !than those on the barrier .I saw his back and stopped to try to take a photo as i walked behind him and got told by security to move on ! Once inside the theatre Resse talked a bit about the movie and how much effort and time was put into it and that she hoped we all enjoyed it and made a comment like im sure your not all here to see ROB ?? then everyone in theatre, mostly girl fans screamed, and Rob said Two words ! and was gone !! I was so so sad !! surly they could have us fans have an opportunity for signatures and pics once inside theatre ! I still LOVE rob and just hope he will be back for the premier of Breaking dawn ,i know which side of the fence ill be on !!

I am so glad I wasn’t the only one to have such a negative experience. I too was there at the start of the red carpet waiting patiently like everyone else. I was there because that was where I was told to be as a paying ticketholder. The fans chatted amongst themselves where they had come from…Melbourne, Queensland, Perth and even a couple had flown in from New Zealand. We talked about our expectations of the evening, about dressing up, getting our hair and makeup done…etc….etc… This was a once in a lifetime deal and was going to be worth every cent we had paid! WRONG!! Rob got out the car and was immediately whisked away about 10 metres up the red carpet. We got nothing – not even a glance to be able to take a photo! I too tried to take a picture of him once on the red carpet and was literally pushed by security. The only thing they were missing were their bull hooks! The whole black tie and red carpet experience was just so disappointing. For the ticket holders who still got their chance for a photo or a signature you are very lucky! For the first 100 or so of us, we never got so much as a glance. Security told me we would have our chance once inside the theatre but as you all know that never happened either. I told friends he was on stage for about 2 minutes but I exaggerated…if was actually only 1 minute and 20 seconds exactly! Check U-tube! I don’t blame Rob for a minute…it was security who rushed him past us…. I blame the organizers who made all the money out of us. You only have to look at the photos from the Premiere to see Rob was so generous with his fans… I wonder what he would think if he knew that the ones who paid to ensure they had their moment were the ones that missed it all! I cried all the way back to Melbourne!

I was there!!! Just to the right of the top couple of pics at the beginning of the red carpet! Kara, I walked the red carpet, as well as being able to take pics and get autographs from Rob and Reese. What they failed to mention, but we found out by asking, is that you were allowed to stand on the barriers to get access to them, then you could line up to walk the red carpet. We had the best spot, right at the beginning, they both got out of their cars and came straight to us! They were both so gracious and just stunning (Yes! Rob does Dazzle me!!! :) Even more gorgeous in person!) I would really love for them to bring him back for a Breaking Dawn premiere, I will definately be doing the exact same thing I did this time, finding the start of the red carpet and staying right there!

You were lucky…that wasn’t mine or 100’s of other’s experience. We were told if we didn’t line up to walk the red carpet I would be locked out of the theatre! We were behind the barriers at the very start. What do you do? Who wants to risk that?
